NEC members elected on a pro-Corbyn/Momentum ticket were blocking action to tackle antisemitism in March this year

There seems to be very little that the Momentum reps on the NEC won’t defend – incl racism towards Jewish members and a black council candidate – if they are deemed JC supporters #EnoughIsEnough #LabourAntisemitism

This was the meeting that led Momentum director Christine Shawcroft (then and now, its the only thing she hasn’t resigned from) to call for an end to the Labour-trade union to be severed #EnoughisEnough

But Shawcroft wasn’t the only one who left the meeting p**sed off at their fellow NEC members. Darren Williams also took to Facebook

It turns out their behaviour in the meeting was so outrageous Shawcroft would not recuse herself from the chair of a case she had already interfered in (as she would go and do for Alan Bull). Her fellow Momentum reps voted with her

But this is not just the Momentum NEC reps, it is the Jeremy Corbyn appointed #shadcab reps too. Jon Trickett was voting to limit the sanctions against antisemites.

You can see why @EuanPhilipps &the @LabourAgainstAS crowd – & many others – have lost confidence in the party’s disciplinary process

Anyone who voted to water down the action against racists consider their position – this is serious stuff

The new establishment may say one thing in public but in private they are using their political muscle to defend their friends and allies – antisemitism or no antisemitism. They should follow Christine’s example and remove themselves from Labour’s top table

Training on #antisemitism is for those who show remorse and want to change not for those who double down and think they have done no wrong. It’s not like doing a speed awareness course to avoid three points and a driving ban #EnoughIsEnough
