The leaked minutes of an NEC meeting from last month are evidence of a Labour NEC that is fundamentally unable to tackle racial discrimination within the Labour Party. theguardian.com/politics/2018/…

Labour Against Antisemitism has been reporting anti-Jewish racism for 18 months, assuming the party and the disputes panel would take it seriously. We have submitted reports on over 1,000 members since September 2016.

The reports are the result of hours of research by our dedicated team of volunteers. These reports provide disturbing and distressing evidence of quite vicious racial hatred. That they have been dismissed is unacceptable.

The moral and ethical integrity of the Labour Party is being sacrificed for short-term factional political expediency. That is a disgrace.

There is a fight to eradicate institutional antisemitism in the Labour Party, and we demand that Jeremy Corbyn show leadership on this issue. He needs to act and demonstrate that his claim of zero tolerance for antisemitism in the Labour Party is not empty rhetoric.

There needs to be a wholesale change within the NEC body and the resignation of Christine Shawcroft, announced last week, should only be the start. More resignations must follow.

In my Guardian article yesterday I claimed that Corbyn and his team want to rewrite @TheIHRA definition on #antisemitism to neuter @UKLabour's own rule against antisemitism. This is key to understanding what they are trying to do and I'll explain it a bit more here /1
If a party member is disciplined for antisemitism it is always under the rule against conduct that is "prejudicial, or... grossly detrimental to the party." This used to be at the discretion of the NEC /2
This changed last September when party conference made the expression of antisemitism and other prejudice an automatic offence. The old rule is on the left, new rule on the right /3

So I am about to do something I do not normally do...
There is a member of the Labour Party in the constituency where I am a councillor. She is an antisemite. I put in a complaint in July and to date no action has been taken. She continues to attend meetings...
... and take part in street stalls. I believe in due process and I had hoped that my formal complaint would lead to a swift and speedy conclusion... But it has not.
The person runs the GazaBoatConvoy twitter account and it is an example of how supposedly pro-Palestinian activists bastardise the Palestinian cause to pursue their antisemitism.
