🐀 (1) The curious case of #MichaelCohen as we know he had documents seized but there’s more to the story and as @_VachelLindsay_ @tracybeanz @Nick_Falco pointed out, it’s always good to wait. Cohen’s Attorney claimed attorney client privilege but there’s more to it. 
(2) According to the filing Cohen resigned from Trump Org. 1-30-17 (remember that date) they also claim that they cooperated with House Intel investigation fully AND apparently Mueller’s team respected the privileged communication with Trump Org.
(3) Cohen’s lawyer claims “thousands if not millions of pages of documents” could be exposed and they should be protected otherwise his clients will be exposed, unduly to government scrutiny.
(4) The U.S Attorney for Southern District of NY, Khuzami obviously does not agree and says documents can be immediately looked at and but the State has placed a “filter team” to look through materials as added precaution.
(5) Quick look at Khuzami, he was actually appointed by Trump pick Berman. He specializes in financial crimes, worked for SEC during Bernie Madoff and he’s a Republican.
(6) Here is where it gets interesting, Khuzami fired off a 20 page response today that has a lot of information. Cohen isn’t being investigated for anything he did as an attorney, he’s being investigated for personal dealings..
(7) Cohen saying Mueller initiated the search warrants is pure speculation, Mueller’s team apparently referred this case to the USAO-SDNY and FBI, who then executed the warrants which included cell phones and even a safety deposit box because of “several other business interests”
(8) What kind of business dealings? Looks like Cohen entered a “strategic partnership” with a law firm 3-17 (2 months after leaving Trump Org🤨) he was paid $500k plus commission and introduced them to 5 clients? WTF? The deal ended in March but he wasn’t acting as a lawyer..
(10) WHAT has Cohen been doing though? The search warrants were crucial because records could be deleted (aka email) furthermore it seems he’s trying to using Trump as cover, Khuzami even reaches out to Mueller and confirmed “all communications” were never requested🤷🏼♀️
(11) They claim to be going out if their way to protect any attorney-client privilege if they arise. It would seem #MichaelCohen was the one who tried to stop Trump Org. communications. The investigation is for federal crimes through, against Cohen not Trump.
(12) Forgot to point out this gem, they’ve been monitoring #MichaelCohen’s multiple email accounts covertly, and used that information to obtain warrants. Pure speculation but it would appear Trump has more knives in his back😞what else would Cohen get $500k for.
(13) UPDATE that strategic partnership #MichaelCohen entered was with a multinational law firm? He referred 5 clients there. @_VachelLindsay_ if it is PC this is swampier than ever...

(17) Judge Wood has approved 3rd party lawyer (Special Master) to look through seized Cohen property and identify all documents etc. that should fall under Attorney/Client believe they’ll have 3 weeks, then perhaps she decides if they are valid? Here are team Cohen’s suggestions
