Not just unpopular, Daniel, but patently wrong. Try learning about an issue before you pronounce. This problem was highlighted in a 2014 report by @LegalActionGrp. If 'the system worked', as you claim, ministers would have acted on that report. But they did ... nothing.

In Q2 2017/18, there were 7,042 single claims/cases, and 429 multiple claimant cases. That's a 66% increase in single claims/cases, compared to the previous quarter, and a 62% increase on the same Q in 2016/17. 2/n #ukemplaw
HOWEVER (1/n): as Supreme Ct ruling on #ETfees was on 26 July, all the increase was in August & September (i.e. only 2/3 of the Quarter). So, there *might* be a further increase in Q3. 3/n #ukemplaw #HR

 Many news sites refer to Badwan as either a protestor or a demonstrator who was shot and killed by the #IDF. The photo on the left, from the DailyMail, states Badwan is a protestor. The photo on the right from CGTN states Badwan is a protestor as well.

 The problem is Badwan wasn’t there to protest in the way most people think. This video was taken Friday afternoon at the Karni crossing where Palestinians were clashing w/ #IDF soldiers. At the end, you can see Badwan being evacuated after getting shot by the #IDF.

According to Palestinian reports, at approximately 18:00 hours, an #IDF airstrike struck downtown Gaza City. Two teens were killed as a result of the strike. Reports claimed an empty structure, a children’s park and a mosque were damaged. #Gaza #Israel #Hamas #IDF

 The children’s park in reality is #Qassam Brigade’s “Battalions Square” and the teens who died were inside the structure circled in red. Beside it is the mosque circled in blue which was damaged by the strike.

Unpopular view: Humphreys is wrong and Blair is right, at least on the Q of understanding imm concerns. Blair's speeches on the issue in 2005 election show a v clear understanding of the issue. The problem was policy (didn't/couldn't deliver) and trust (little left by then).
The bigger problem with Lab and imm post 2004 was that the decision not to impose controls on A8 imm was made without proper consultation and explanation, and Lab never found a way to explain or defend it adequately after. 2/3

My experience with learning modes - Text vs Video content

- Due to concentration lapse, it's easier to drop off for a few minutes from a video content (> 5 mins)

- Concentration lapses happen in text too, but its easier to re-read the para vs rewinding the video

#learning
- For consuming the same amount of content, text form is less time consuming than videos.

- To explain complex topics/situations, texts usually take more time building up the context than videos.
- We try to understand things by building mental imagery, that way videos are more efficient than text because it takes a bit of time to build the mental imagery from interpreting the text and yet you might not be building the right imagery.
