1. Really the key question is: Is Trump Jr. and the others telling the truth about the Trump Tower meeting?

It's unclear why we would believe them at this point.

3. For example, Trump Jr. said on Hannity that there was no coordination of the meeting over the phone. There are logs detailing repeated communications. Trump Jr. now says he doesn't remember them. Does anyone think this is plausible?

4. Does anyone think it's plausible that Trump Jr. does not know whether or not his father uses a blocked telephone number? He talks to him on the phone. How does he not know?

5. The other big thing is that Trump Jr's lawyer contacted various participants in the meeting and attempted to construct a consistent narrative before the meeting went public.

This makes everything we are hearing now very suspect.

Absolutely no evidence of this. Trump cites the cost of illegal drugs, most of which come through official ports of entry.

This is not true. And the deal hasn't even been approved by Congress.

Today CNN first reported that two answers to Mueller’s questions to Trump were leaked.

This leak almost certainly came from Trump’s legal team in an effort to try and make sure all witnesses are on the same page regarding their story (likely lie). In one of the answers Trump specifically stated that he was not aware of the infamous Trump Tower meeting in 2016...
where Don Jr., Paul Manafort, Jared Kushner and others met with a Russian agent to “get dirt on Hillary Clinton”.

Now let’s rewind a couple of days to when Mueller filed court documents indicating that Manafort had broken his plea agreement by lying.

BREAKING: President Trump learned within the last 24 hours that Robert Mueller would like to ask questions both orally and written for the President to respond to issues surrounding obstruction of justice.

I guess we now know what set Trump off this morning.
Regardless of what Trump does at this point, fire Mueller, dont fire Mueller there is already a dead man's switch that will spring into action should Trump take the additional step in his ongoing obstruction of justice and actually fire him. Furthermore:
Trump has shown his hand and it is weak. While some Trump supporters, especially the QAnon contingent, will believe him no matter what anyone says, no matter how nonsensical/inconstant his lies might be, eventually enough GOP lawmakers will turn on Trump

Thanks to reporting from various sources, we now know that at least 14 GOP lawmakers (nine senators, three governors, and two congressmen, both from CA) are tied up in various segments of Bob Mueller's probe into election interference in 2016.
Six are tied in due to money they got from Russian oligarchs Viktor Vekselberg and Len Blavatnik. They are Sens. Mitch McConnell (MS), Marco Rubio (FL), Lindsey Graham (SC), and John McCain (AZ), along with Govs. John Kasich (OH) and Scott Walker (WI).
