/ Quitting my job was the best decision I ever made. For years, I had an itch. I wanted to leave my job at a big company, wanted to be independent and creative, but I was too scared to make a move. The work was interesting and I was paid well.
/ I loved the people I worked with, and I was learning. Which is why I questioned my itch to leave and didn’t act on it for three years. This week, I’m launching @usefyi with @hnshah, something I never would have done had I stayed at my job and not listened to my gut.
/ I never would have learned how to build software. Never would have stretched myself so much. Never would have started my own business and built multiple products. Never would have grown so so much in the last few years.
/ Making the leap from corporate into the unknown was scary. I had no idea what I was going to do, I just knew I had to leave my job and go from there. When you take a leap, opportunities you could never imagine open up for you.
/ The universe meets you when you follow your gut and listen to your internal knowing. I am so grateful for everything I’ve learned since I made the leap. And I cannot wait for this journey to continue and for all the exciting things that are coming.
/ Follow the pull. Get over your fear of the unknown. Trust. Brilliant things are waiting for you on the other side.
/ Thanks @hnshah for the advice you gave me back in 2015 to “never work for anyone again.” Little did I know that we’d end up working together on so many amazing things.
