In a 5-4 decision, SCOTUS ruled that employers have the right to resolve labor disputes through forced arbitration, rather than by class action lawsuits. This is a devastating blow for the working class.

Note: This is an instance where the change in President meant a change in the position of the Gov. Under Obama, the Gov represented the rights of workers, under Trump, the Gov switched to representing the corporate side. Elections have consequences, and this one is devastating.
Please also note how important the courts are in deciding our well being. Under GOP control, the courts are being packed by young ideologues who will push our progress back by a generation.

Labor rights, money in politics, and Roe v Wade are all going to continue to come up.
RBG in the dissent: “When workers charge their employers with unlawful conduct...there is strength in numbers.. there will be huge under-enforcement of federal and state statutes designed to advance the well-being of vulnerable workers."

One election effectively destroyed labor.
