For fake news peddlers, Imperial College London stats show R value is below 1. This means every infected person is infecting less than 1 person, i.e. the curve is flattening.

What does this mean? It means less people are getting infected daily. Would we have to test at the same levels? Of course not. Are suspected cases being tested? Of course. Are actual infections higher? Yes as in every country. Could there be a 2nd wave? It is possible
Can weather affect it? Too early to tell. There are many hypotheses. What is the surest way to reduce infection risk? Avoid gatherings, wash hands wish soap before rouching face or wounds, wear a mask!

Getz Pharma, a Pharmaceutical Company, went ahead and serologically tested its entire workforce, and is now touting its findings as a game changer.

Said company also sells the test.

My thoughts on their twitter thread:
ThREAD - 1/8

#antibodytesting
-Antibody tests are NOT conclusive proof of past/current infections OR immunity to SARS-CoV-2. In fact, an old flu from a related Coronavirus can give you a False +ve, likewise a SYMPTOMATIC case with NO antibodies yet could give you a False -ve, MUCH more often than PCR tests
-The GoldStandard so conveniently disproved shows those inaccuracies only when UNTRAINED individuals sample. In fact both FDA&WHO recommend ONLY PCR testing to check Covid19 diagnoses

-The people qouted as having had Covid19, was serological testing used for their status or PCR?

Social distancing is practically a physical distance between two persons, prescribed to prevent person to person transmission of a disease. How effective will this measure be in a country with a population of 207 million and average household size of approximately 7 members?
The situation gets complicated when we realize that approximately 68% of the households have 2 or less rooms and more than half of the population lives with extended family. In such a situation, social distancing becomes a challenging issue. #PakistanFightsCorona #Pakistan
In countries like Pakistan, people live in clusters called families and approximately 50% of the population lives with extended family. Thus, home isolation is expected to cause incidence of family clusters and that should not surprise the public health experts. #COVID19Pakistan

Going through the numbers released by @WHO (in turn are numbers released by China) from Jan 20th to Jan 27th.

Based on the released numbers, I did a simple analysis on the day-by-day increase in # of confirmed cases and # of dead owing to #coronavirus Image
The findings:(day2day)

1. The # of infected ⬆️ by an average factor of 1.49 ⬇️ to 1.4 *

2. The # of dead ⬆️ by an average factor of 1.68 ⬇️ to 1.6 *

3. The Death:Infected ratio is currently around 2.7 (# of deaths/100 infections)

* ⬇️ owing to conservative estimates + factors
Based on above trends:

1. The # of infected & the # of dead may reach a significant figure as early as Feb 6th *

2. The "Death:Infected Ratio" may ⬆️ sharply after Feb 2nd *

* Not posting my numbers here.

3. #nCoV is faster in it's infection rates compared to #SARS
