#Seahawks mock-game final thoughts: A THREAD ⬇️ Today was the first time we got a real look at Shane Waldron's new offense and there are plenty of nuggets of information to dissect. On the defensive side, there's more clarity on the line, especially on bear fronts.
On offense, we saw a ton of play-action and pre-snap movement, as expected. Much of the offense was set in 11/12 personnel with plenty of bootlegs similar to Rams offense with Goff. Wilson was sharp, tested tight windows, and looked to escape the pocket early on naked bootlegs.
While Wilson didn't target TEs much, Geno Smith made use of Colby Parkinson's large frame, especially over the middle. I expected to see more tight formations and tight end movement but most pre-snap motion was from WRs. A fair mix of under center vs gun for Wilson.

After the 60 Minutes de-transitioning segment, I want to give an account of my complicated transition that mutated and changed trajectories MULTIPLE TIMES, and about how I THANK THE MAKER that I was able to figure shit out on my own w/support from Dr.'s rather than gatekeeping...
First, I had to work through a lot of the ways what I wanted, and what I was feeling, didn't fit neat and tidy into what a "trans woman" was supposed to want/look like/who she was supposed to be attracted to/what surgeries she was supposed to want/get.
THAT TOOK FOREVER. And it was only at age 37 that I was like "Fuck it. You do not want to be an old man, filled with regret, waiting to die alone. You need to at least try. You're close enough. Play it where it lays, kid." In 2012, I started HRT w/meds I got online.

When @allaroundplays was first discovered in middle school, those who observed knew they were witnessing a special athlete.

On his path from Bluffton to the #Seahawks, aided by countless supporters in his corner, he has proven to be far more than that.…
Special thanks to all of Eskridge's former high school coaches who spoke with me before I wrote this piece. I couldn't have done it without them.
I don't believe the other two coaches have Twitter accounts, but thanks to @MrKunkBHS for taking the time to chat with me. I appreciated the great insight into D'Wayne's incredible journey to the NFL!

People forget the #Patriots were 1 yard away from beating the #Seahawks, a fumble away from beating the #Bills and lost their starting QB to COVID against the #Chiefs and still almost won with the terrible tandem of Hoyer and Stidham...
Newton had a two game skid after COVID (which clearly has an effect on players) where they got smoked by the #49ers and came down to the wire with the #Broncos
Point is, the #Patriots were a couple of unfortunate events from winning all of those games, and I know football isn’t black and white but 3/5 of those games could’ve/should’ve been wins. That team last year almost won 10 games.

Brady is the best football player in the modern Era if you control for racism, coaching and division competition. Doesn't mean he's not the greatest but context matters
The #GOAT conversation depends on how you think of individual vs team sports. Football is HARD - a long career of success is almost impossible. But Basketball requires you play offense AND defense (unless you're Harden) so I'd put LeBron, Russell, Jordan ahead of #Brady
Easily 3 of #Brady #SuperBowl wins were
defense #seahawks
Special Teams #Rams 2000
Defense #Rams 2018

LeBron, Jordan, Russell had to be on the court the whole time. Again doesn't take anything AWAY from #Brady but a "Team sport" hits different when you have to defend too

I was pretty bored w/ the #NFC playoffs this year because once #Seahawks and (ahem) Goff / #rams were out, there really weren't any amazing stories to tell because almost nobody's legacy is going to change going forward, now #BucsvsSaints almost gaurantees it
If Rogers makes another SB so what? He's already a top 5 QB all time. Even if he somehow BEAT the #Chiefs (and that won't happen) who's he going to leap over on #NFL QB Mount Rushmore? Nobody. Another ring changes nothing for him
If Brady wins on the road in Green Bay and makes a 10th #SuperBowl what does that make him? The GOAT + 1? I mean, he's already the most successful QB ever. Another appearance or even beating the #Chiefs (Won't happen) doesn't change his legacy either

In 2018, the #49ers unveiled all-white throwbacks into the team's uniform rotation. It is a tribute to the 1994 #SuperBowl championship team.

Since then, fans have lauded this and called for the red version to return.

Here is the history of these uniforms.

Continue thread.🔽 ImageImage
These throwback uniforms originally date back to the 1955 #49ers team. That team went 4-8.

The helmet was red (with no logo) and silver pants were sometimes worn. The original white uniforms featured black stripes.

This uniform was only worn this season.

In 1994, the #NFL celebrated its 75th year. Teams were to participate in league-wide throwback uniform celebration beginning in Week 3. A commemorative 75th anniversary patch was worn by all teams.

For the first two weeks, the #49ers wore the standard set.

Instant Round 2 Grades! Here we go! #NFLDraft2020

Starting with...
33. CIN - Tee Higgins WR9 ... C

My 44th overall player, I think there are better values & better WRs available.

I also would've gone OT here, unless an AJ Green trade is imminent.

Building around Burrow is a good move, though. #Bengals
34. IND - Michael Pittman Jr. WR12 ... D

I'm lower than many on Pittman - 53rd - I just think there are much better prospects at WR. Multiple are still on the board: Laviska 21st, Mims 36th, Edwards 43rd.

Also, not the route I would've gone here with such a valuable pick.

#GigEm

This morning, I called this my favorite stat this year. But then I thought that was an exaggeration. It's my favorite stat for the #Cardinals.

Here's my favorite stat for every other team. #Thread
#Falcons in 2016: 1.57 TDs per FG attempt
2017: 0.85 TDs per FG att
Joe Flacco was 7th in pass atts in 2017, never threw for 300 yds, averaged <200 per game.
