The press conference has just begun. Macron is taking quite a while to get to the actual withdrawal announcement.
1/ Histoire d'un imbroglio : Hier, les autorités maliennes ont exigé le retrait immédiat du contingent danois de la force #Takuba, qui selon eux serait entré au #Mali sans "consentement" et sans "protocole additionnel" qui aurait dû mener à un accord bilatéral.
2/ Le ministère des Affaires étrangères danois répond en développant le long calendrier diplomatique des échanges et accords successifs quant au déploiement de ce contingent. La contribution danoise à #Takuba aurait été approuvée par le gouv d'IBK et celui de transition.
3/ Autre élément attestant la position danoise, la délivrance d'autorisations de survol pour le déploiement du contingent, accordées par le ministère malien de la Défense et le ministère des Transports. Les permis couvrent la période allant du 16 au 26 janvier 2022.

The public radio station @DLF had a short news item. It noted French calls for "fairer burden-sharing" in the military mission and then noted: "Germany is also active there. But the Bundeswehr does not participate in military missions." 3/14
