The FBI briefed Trump, including about Russia, on August 17, 2016. By then, it had been public knowledge for almost three weeks that Russia was trying to meddle in the election—to which Trump had responded by suggesting Russia hack into Hillary Clinton’s private email server.
On October 7—the day of the “Access Hollywood” tape and the first Podesta Emails release—the intel community officially announced that the Kremlin directed the hacks. Trump still cited WikiLeaks 164 more times—five per day—for the rest of the election.

Trump got a private briefing on the intel community’s Russia report on January 6, 2017. In just the two weeks between that and Trump’s inauguration, there were three more meetings between his team and Russia. themoscowproject.org/explainers/tru…
