So folks, what package would you recommend for paralellising code in R?
I thought this would be simple based on previous experience with parallelising code but I am quickly realising it is not going to be simple. Blargh.
I have had a total turnaround and now think I do not need the paralell package.

I hope you are all enjoying this live commentary on the realities of science.
I'm also so stressed about this I have managed to spell parallel wrong twice in a very short space of time.
My conundrum quite nicely illustrates the frustrations of R. I *could* open 12 R windows and run 1/12th of my runs in each. It would achieve exactly what I am trying to do. Instead I will spend the next few days wrangling with code because it will be more useful in future #rstats
So far I have managed to make my model, and whole computer run really slowly using the future package #winning #rstats
Everything is bad.
Wait I think I am getting somewhere
So I can run my function using foreach....now I need to work out how to get different runs to use different input variables
I HAVE PARALLELISED IT IN FOREACH. But I don't know how to get each run to use a different variable help?! #rstats #babysteps
I have one solution courtesy of @statsforbios who is a total hero, but am keen to get it working using foreach and doapply as well. If anyone knows about cycling through numbers using iter() let me know #rstats. It keeps telling me an argument is missing *grumble*

By sharing this video you make harassing wildlife with drones pay. The bears would not have felt the need to take these risks were they not disturbed by the drone. The drone operator could have killed the cub. Horrendously irresponsible.
I chose to share with the video because I hope the poster will take it down.

This is what wildlife harassment looks like.
It's easy to miss distressed wildlife - but good to bear in mind the signs when you watch videos and to check for whether an animal has been disturbed or harassed. If you do accidentally share them take them down if someone points it out.

Ok, I’m going to take a stab at this.

We’re only on day 2 of meds, so clearly this an evolving situation.

I’m kind of emotional, because OMG, so much crazy...

One thing that helped me with publicly supporting Hillary Clinton was realizing how far removed I was from mainstream media.

This also made me realize why I never fell for being radicalized against her.

MSM doesn't cater to BW intentionally. They inadvertently created her base.
It's similar in the way that Russia targeted Sanders supporters and black people.

I was inadvertently influenced by my rejection of MSM sources and learned not to believe everything you hear because my life experience outweighs anything they could ever tell me
So when I reject polls I reject polls based on previous experience.

The previous experience of being Black.

We are largely ignored in the MSM and it's still perpetrated today.

So do I look at polls? Yes. Do I believe them? Not so much.

I believe Election results.

1) My latest estimates:

Senate, we gain 5-7 seats. I'm leaning toward OH as a win. Renacci has made up about a point a week on Brown, who now has abuse issues resurfacing.

Told of Renacci, "He just wins. In first race was against entrenched D opponent, beat him.
"Then he was redistricted into another D district and clobbered that guy."

OH has a 300,000 net R registration advantage AFTER allocating "unaffiliated" voters based on previous 16 years' of voting.

In WI looks like with this K backlash Walker will "walk" Vukmir over the line
2) AZ has firmed up. I believe McSally will hold, winning by 4-5. Looks increasingly like Heller will survive. That makes ALL senate wins gravy, and we actually have a long shot at getting 9 for a 60-vote majority.
