More! Bumbling on NY Subway last wk, I realised tube systems are #nudge-packed, particularly maps. Y'know distance on tube maps ≠ distance irl, right? There's >1 reason, the 1st being it's not practical to get uniform scale on a 2D format. Another is a huge #nudge ...

... & that's to #nudge ppl twds certain journeys - mainly to reduce congestion @ peak times & busier stns; iow, to spread loads on cities' networks. Check this from London Underground, HT nudge.org
So while local knowledge prevails, tourists disperse ax lines
