1) So, I want to slip on the red ring of rage for a moment, and talk about kids from South America. No, I don't mean the ones that Obama was sticking in dog cages. I mean the ones that didn't even make it to the United States. 
2) See, there were NGOs in South America who, during the Obama years, were actively encouraging parents to send their kids up north. Send the kids up north, get them in the purgatory that is DACA or any other program, and use them as an anchor for the rest of the family to arrive
3) So instead of packing their whole family and sending them up, families would get money together to pay human traffickers to just send their kids north to the United States, hoping they'd reach family members already in North America.
4) There aren't a lot of statistics on these, because they aren't even counted in the illegal immigration figures until they actually physically REACH the United States.
5) But there are varied estimates based on the risks they're exposed to.
6) Many traffickers, to avoid as many borders as possible, hop around shores in the Caribbean. Cubans who tried to do the same thing to go from Cuba to Florida in the 90's were estimated to have died in the attempts from 1/4 to 1/2 the time. washingtonpost.com/archive/opinio…
7) Even more are lost due to being sold by the human traffickers into sex slavery or forced labor along the way.
8) And we don't know how many die crossing the borders far to the south of the United States. All we know are the children who die crossing OUR border.

11) There aren't a lot of official publishes estimates, at least not that I've been able to find. But consider the huge child sex trafficking networks that are being busted NOW during the Trump administration that have been festering in our society for YEARS.
12) If there's so many children here now being exploited in literal modern day slavery, think about just in terms of ratios how many children have died just trying to REACH the United States.
13) Thousands. Tens of thousands. Maybe hundreds of thousands. A genocide and a new slave trade, all born from open border policies where we simply allowed cartel traffickers free reign over our borders.
14) And Democrats want to throw a shit fit over kids being separated from their parents?
