Today I wish to share a positive story with you. What happens when successive govt and society ignores fellow Indians. So last night my bro was talking wit my grandpa regarding Naxal problem.. And grandpa was sharing some old stories and some experiences.

One such case was about a couple of hamlets and it's inhabitants. That hamlet apparently was located in a remote location of chattisgarh. Apparently the ppl there were not even regd as citizens of this country. (old story) and they had no means to any livelihood

Those ppl would be cut off from nearest location and their only source of income was the jungle. So some traders used to visit the forests and buy spices and other forest produce n in return give them rice or some other stuff as payment. Of course the payment was not proper

And one fine day the commies found this and instigated the trials to take up arms to overthrow the state and some ppl joined the Naxal movement. So grandpa ended his story with how successive congi morons failed to help tribals and is one of the route causes of naxalism

Now me being me decided to see what's changing now? Are those tribals getting any means to sell forest produce since Modi govt took over? This thought brought me to a portal called TRIFED.In Tribal Co marketing Dev federation of India.

This website explains how TRIFED helps the various tribes spread across India. How they market their products. How they train them. How an MSP is given to them so no trader or a commie thug cheats them and pays them peanuts. It's a beautiful website. Nw some stats

Purchases made from empanelled Tribal suppliers/artisans by TRIFED showed an increase of 166% in 2017-18 over 2016-17

TRIFED made purchases of Rs. 15.86 Crores (provisional) during Financial Year 2017-18 as compared to Rs.5.95 Crores during Financial Year 2016-17.

Employment generation opportunities were generated for 712 suppliers which helped create livelihood opportunities to around 70,000 tribal families during 2017-18 vis-à-vis 585 suppliers with around 57,500 tribal families during 2016-17

Sales nos of TRIFED increased from Rs.11.37 Crores in 2016-17 to Rs.20.08 Crores (provisional) during 2017-18, which showed a record increase of 77% and a record sale in the history of TRIFED

While the urban naxals are being dealt with, the armed naxals are being handled, the real troubled tribals are being provided new means to earn a meaningful livelihood. This will avoid situation like the one my grandpa shared.
