I hate to call the current Democrat party Democrats. Instead I think of them as the left they have no connection to the Democrat party I knew growing up. They are totally anti capitalism, anti freedom and anti American ideals. They hate the flag, the anthem and founding.
Now it's true the Democrat party after Vietnam showed some of these traits but over the last 30 years it has been totally taken over by the virus of leftism. I still acknowledge it's the Dems but in my mind I simply see leftists like Castro when I see today's Democrat party.
The days of American loving Democrat statesmen like JFK are long gone. Now the leaders of the Dem party want to turn us into a mirror of the old Soviet Union or Cuba. Hell they turned the FBI into the KGB.
They hate everything about being America's foubdations and think we are guilty of all the sins of the world. They have become rabid leftists. So I'll continue to use the terms leftists/Dems interchangable but I will think leftists now no matter the term I use.
I doubt I'm alone on this and I think many old JFK/FDR types of democrats who lived through the cold war are seeing the same thing and are starting to question how the leftists took over their party completely.
Maybe they will reject the leftists or maybe like the moderates in the Middle East they will continue to accept the extermists in their midsts while saying we aren't them but still supporting their actions like they have done for decades.
It's a shame a major political party in the Land of the Free has become the home of the Marxists/socialists. Just seems wrong that we would have a major political party whose entire goal is too totally destroy everything the country was founded on. But it is what it is. So be it
Today it's clear the Democrat party is the party of leftists. It's not debatable. The cold war has moved inside the borders of the USA and the political battle has been joined.
