I’ve been working to free myself of performances and self aggrandizement, often read as pontificating for the sake of pontificating. James Baldwin once wrote “The very time I thought I was lost, my dungeon shook and my chains fell off. ”
This is where I am at the moment, in a dungeon of intropection, seemingly lost, but purposely lost, always purposely. Lots of unlearning. Lots of chains to shake off. Lots of reflection.
While learning to be intentional in everything I do, I’ve found there’s less of a reason to do. This makes sense to me.
