This is unkind. Randazza is better known for defending pornographic trademarks and pornographers, and nearly getting disbarred for the unauthorized practice of law in a state in which he wasn't licensed.

Which basically means that he's a staunch defender of the First Amendment except when it's used to say unkind if apparently true things about him, then it's off to the crappiest copyright legislation ever as the sword-to-hand.

"We have no right to control our own borders if the right age-and-sex mix appears there." Self-evidently stupid and counterproductive.
Arguments are not won purely on merit, but on the manner in which they're proposed and argued.
This is especially true with matters in which the moving party seeks to have our laws, if not suspended, then at least highly-charitably enforced and interpreted: If you want to make a case that our immigration law as it exists is immoral, you can't simply hand-wave at it.

Being enamored of the way things were when you were young does not make you conservative; it makes you nostalgic.
Protesting one's conservatism has very little meaning if the substance of your protest is nostalgia and self-appellation.
Similarly, if the entirety of one's conservatism is a single policy stance, coupled with a congenital resistance to change, this merely makes one idiosyncratically intransigent.

This all started because the #MetPolice & #LBRUT couldn't do their day jobs properly & decided to take the law into their own hands. It started as a small cover up 12 years ago but has turned into British State Persecution.

My company was raided. It should have been a straightforward matter. But the #MetPolice & #LBRUT forgot to seize my computer & came back to do a 2nd raid. The search warrant didn't permit a second entry, however, #LBRUT entered unlawfully

Complaints were then made to my MP #VinceCable. He liaised with the #Metpolice & #LBRUT. And then weeks later, the search warrant was completely changed & was passed off as the search warrant executed on the day of the raids.

PWDV Act, 2005, gives a broad definition of what qualifies as ‘domestic abuse’. It includes physical, sexual, verbal, emotional and economic abuse. Section 3 reads:
The Act provides for a ‘Protection Officer’ to help you through various processes under the law. This Officer can help you file the complaint, tell you about your rights, make an application to the Magistrate for you, etc.

I did something similar to this 5 years ago, in anticipation of EC & @theroots' Wise Up Ghost LP, on tumblr.

(You can still find all those posts if you look, although a lot of the YouTube links etc are now dead ends. It was 40 Days Of EC then, so for 2018 I'm upping it to 45.)
Mostly I will be going chronologically from the early years right up to the present, but it feels right to start out with Costello's 2002 song, "45."

(State channel rant.) An explainer on the exciting developments blockchain is heading for with *state channels* and *generalized state channels.*

I’ll try to keep this mostly non-technical but it is a technical topic, alas. . .
First, state channels are a “Layer 2” technology. Layer 1 is the blockchain — txs are relatively slow and expensive and require consensus and fees. Layer 2 is an “off-chain” layer which can be settled or “taken” on-chain; it doesn’t require consensus and can be very fast.
[Aside: there are only two layers we actually understand fairly well right now — Layer 1 and 2. If someone tries to sell you Layer 3 or Layer 0, caveat emptor.]
