Getting white men fired from their job is probably the most effective way to have an impact on the opposition and bring the Overton window back from the brink.
White men getting and keeping the best jobs is at the center of this whole thing. It's part of the contract. A lot of the privilege that white men receive is funneled through their job. Many forms of oppression run through employment (or lack there of).
You've never seen a white man flip their shit until you have cost them a job. Or not even them. A white man loses their job and they all freak the fuck out. Don't let them convince you they don't know what solidarity means. They learn it instantly when their jobs are threatened.
What I do know is that a lot of white liberals will stop short of getting someone fired. It feels like a bridge too far to many of them as well. Which may also be why they act shocked when their "innocent" actions result in POC getting fired.
White people will be watching you walk out the door going "I think that's a bit harsh. All I did was point out how often Tyrone comes in late."

Today we are better able to show examples connecting the actions of white people directly to the discriminatory outcomes.
The more I think about this, the more I'm sure it's part of the equation. Many white people are oblivious to the ways in which their actions serve to *activate* systems of oppression against people of color.
It's always interesting to see people read a statement like this and hear it as "people should be fired from their jobs for being white men". I honestly don't even understand how that kind of brain works.
