For many years, I have resisted the idea of a constitutional convention, fearing we would end up with something worse. Now I believe there is nothing worse. The federal government is broken beyond repair, totally disfunctional. Constitution needs wholesale replacement.
Remember that a new constitution would have to be ratified by three-fourths of the states to take effect. The biggest problem now is the growing lack of democracy in our system. The Electoral College must go and the Senate must go or at least be stripped of all real power.
Federal judges must be term-limited. We need a parliamentary system with a membership far larger than the HOR so that the number of constituents per member is much, much smaller. I would get rid of fixed districts--too easy to gerrymander.
