Maria Butina just got arrested for being a #TrumpPutin spy and infiltrating the NRA.

Let me tell you more about her from my #GrandOldPutinParty report.

Three weeks ago @patrickLSimpson and I released the #GrandOldPutinParty series, a story in 5 parts, detailing how Republicans got in bed with Vladimir Putin's Russia.

Torshin is just one part. His deputy just went down for maintaining the ruse.

Maria Butina was just like any other Siberian girl until she joined Putin's United Russia party and ran for a party seat.

That's when she began "Operation Implementation" as I reported last month.
Unbidden @mikercarpenter called Maria Butina's Right to Bear Arms group emblematic of a "front organization" for Russian intelligence.

Today, their website is down.
Wisconsin's Republican Governor @ScottWalker took a boatload of money from a Russian oligarch and affected Maria Butina in a way that will "remain in my memory forever."

And Maria Butina made contact with an American political operative in Moscow who thereafter would work with Butina to jointly arrange introductions to US persons of influence.

SPOILER ALERT: I can promise you that that person is probably in the pages of our story...
Maria Butina has been indicted for Conspiracy to violate FARA.

The Foreign Agent's Registration Act makes it a criminal offense to act as the agent of a foreign power without first reporting to the Attorney General.

Mueller didn't indict Maria Butina, but rather the National Security of the DOJ handled it along with the Washington Field Office of the FBI.

Natalia Veselnitskaya had been working on the Prevezon case for years, but in 2014 she involved herself drafting of the official response to the DoJ's invocation of a treaty for legal assistance.

She sent the evidence that she worked with the Kremlin to SDNY prosecutors.

Here are Cohen's Google News results. MSNBC is buried way down under the fold, even though it's relatively brand new, no thumbnail photo, but the Breitbart White Nationalist propaganda website writes a daily hit piece, so they're at the top of everything.
