So here is the question.

Our armed forces and intelligence agents all take oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic. They are sworn to defend the Constitution.

Not the president.

The Constitution.

That goes even for the Secret Service.

“I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic..."

So here is the question.

What do the US armed forces, intelligence agencies and the Secret Service do when the President and his entire administration--and the Party of which they are members--are proven to be enemies of America and agents of a foreign enemy foreign power?

The answer would seem clear to me.

The problem, of course, is that we don't want a military junta to supplant puppets who were installed by a foreign coup.

America has a long tradition and a Constitutional requirement for civilian leadership of the military.

I pose this as a theoretical scenario. I believe there are options. I encourage Americans, and democratically-elected officials who still value America, to consider the alternatives.
