Last year, when I started telling people that the Petro was the most important development in cryptocurrency of 2017 people laughed at me.
But regardless of success or failure the Petro represents a scary & important new use case for cryptocurrency -- sanction evasion.

Expect to see more of this. Remember, if you create a tool or technology you don't get to choose your users. Maybe it will get used by freedom fighters. Maybe it will be used by their government oppressors.
