If you're a law enforcement officer, a criminal investigator, or an attorney who's ever worked in the criminal justice system and you're not saying publicly and privately that Trump is certain to be implicated in a criminal conspiracy you've lost any claim to be good at your job.
2/ I've worked with hundreds of law enforcement officers, criminal investigators, criminal defense attorneys, and prosecutors, and if anyone who's lived that life and done that work said to me they thought there was a chance Trump did nothing wrong I'd assume an ulterior motive.
3/ Now is the time for criminal justice professionals to acknowledge publicly and privately that this looks for all the world, based on our collective thousands of years of experience, like a criminal conspiracy involving the POTUS. The work now is to figure out the last details.
4/ In a case with no global security implications, including the real and impending possibility of a pretextual war with Iran, criminal justice professionals not involved in the case could sit back and say, "Let it play out." This isn't that situation, and we have to accept that.
5/ When rich people get pinched, we suddenly talk of "presumption of innocence—a trial presumption only. But remember, in cases as serious as this, the presumed innocent defendant is usually held pretrial so they can't participate in new mischief. But Trump *runs the free world*.
