I totally agree with this & *I wrote my answers in the form accordingly*. I hope you've done or will do the same Dr. Gold! Recent history suggests that when researchers actually participate in consultations in large numbers, the recommendations reflect it.
Same comment to you, Dr. Brun, and to all others who agree with these points. The questionnaire is quick to complete. Completing all 3 parts took me about 15 minutes total.

Yesterday: PhD student’s paper is accepted! Yay! But also, other PhD student’s paper is returned by the journal after nearly 6 months due to inability to get reviewers. This happened to another trainee’s paper last year as well. Anecdotally, it sounds more & more common.
Journals: Please improve your processes. Make your default review times longer. See if you get all reviews in faster if you ask for reviews within 4 weeks rather than 2. Also: invite more junior people to review. They’re often more eager to review & are up on newest methods.
Publishers: Make your websites easier to use. Don’t make people log in to say yes or no. Make keyword selection easy.

Finally did the book cull that I should have done *before* we moved, uh, six years ago. Out of all the books we read related to parenting, these are the two that influenced us most. Heyman, M.D., with Lisa Tracy
“Becoming The Parent You Want To Be” was ahead of its time, I think. What I loved about it is the way it presents both parents and kids as full humans, with human emotions & reactions. I have a quick temper but didn’t want to yell at my kids. I really appreciated the strategies.
I picked up “Feeding Your Child for Lifelong Health” on a bargain shelf when pregnant with kid 1. It had one key fact that influenced us: you may need to introduce a food 15-20X before they’ll take to it. So we did. There may be some luck here, too, but our kids eat *everything*.

I called on behalf of my inlaws to solve a problem re: rural internet. After I asked, "So if I understand correctly, you don’t have the authority to resolve this problem?" your rep *hung up on me*.
Please don’t bother expressing sorrow or asking me to DM you. I’m not interested in wasting any more of my time. Check your logs & train your people better.

In early October 2016, myself, & 2 high level prophetic voices (from USA) were led to go (in a subtle manner) and pray inside the #GOLD room of the luxe Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, NH, located in the Presidential Mountains.

#History/#Art thread – From my recent trip to Madurai/Tirunelveli. On Jain sites (some with a rich history dating back to at least the 3rd cent. BCE), early Pandyan rock-cut cave temples (7th-8th cent. CE) & the amazing Vettuvan koil.

Before I start on the places, the history around all this is fascinating & splits opinion. Is it apt to call the script Tamili/Tamil Brahmi? Did it develop independently in the Tamil country/come with the Jain monks from the north? Were 8,000 Jains actually impaled in Madurai?>

Gold: Its likely to be quiet today, with the US markets closed for the Labor Day public holiday. But the CFTC released its Commitment of Traders Report on Friday, as usual. To summarise, speculators were still (just) net short #gold as of 28 August. 1/6
Gold: The Managed Money category also remains net short #gold, although as in the case of the legacy report net speculative position, the net Managed Money short decreased slightly last week. 2/6
Gold: There was not much change to the Managed Money gross long #gold positions, which were steady around 11.4 million ounces. 3/6

Gold: Mukesh Kumar, manager of research for @GOLDCOUNCIL in India, has spent the past few days talking to contacts across the Indian #gold market. The first thing I would observe is that the NCDEX polled premium is now positive (data to 20 August) 1/6
Gold: Mukesh notes that there will be an impact from the recent devastating Kerala floods and that the Onam festival will see less #gold demand than normal. But almost all the contacts believe the impact of the flooding will be temporary and should be limited to Q3-18. 2/6
