There has to be an education at school level (as part of civics, social science, or something similar) that clearly explains illness. What is 'disorder' caused by internal reasons, what is 'disease' caused by an infection of microbes & the third type caused by an 'accident'. 1/6
The difference between contagious and non contagious diseases. The difference between something that leaves without any major mark, and the ones that cause permanent impact like disability. Then comes the difference between 'relief', 'cure' & 'prevention'. 2/6
How certain diseases can be 'cured'. Certain can not be cured, but 'managed'. And certain diseases like cancer for which limited permanent cure is available. What are the various ways terminally ill can be comforted. What are various national statistics on public health. 3/6
What are the essential reliefs one must keep handy and how to apply the same. What are the conditions that should not be attempted by oneself but needs a medical practitioner to provide. What kind of food is recommended to be given for people with different illness. 4/6
What is fever. What is acidity. What is colorie. What is junk food. What is BMI. What is sedate lifestyle. etc. All these can be taught without bringing in any bias towards any system of medicine. And then what are different systems of medicine commonly known. 5/6
PS: Above compiled by someone who has very less 'knowledge' in popular medical service. Hence can be modified based on broad consensus from experts. Thanks for reading. 6/6
