Couple things that stand out about the people defending Alex Jones:
1. They're asking for Jones to receive special treatment that none of us receive. If we did what he did, we would've long since been banned

3. They feel it is more "principled" and more "enlightened" to defend the Alex Joneses and Nazis of the world but they don't realize the way they try to defend those groups is by silencing the opposition to them -- Literally asking the gov't to silence us to defend them.
4. Free speech absolutism ALWAYS leads to silencing the opposition to the worst speech. None of us have asked the gov't to silence Jones. We've used our collective voices to demand companies to stop profiting off him. Fundamentally a boycott and silicon valley finally acquiesced
5. I argue that defenders of Alex Jones (particularly from the Left) -- at the core of it all -- HATE social sanctions -- they hate the ability of the public to punish people for their hate-filled contributions to society. Ultimately they want to eliminate these social sanctions
6. And none of them have answered the question of how to you "protect" the Alex Joneses of the world from these social sanctions without silencing boycotters and counterprotestors because it's more noble to them to protect hate speech even if it means silencing our speech.
7. The Alex Jones issue is a culture war issue, not a 1A issue. The culture wars is where we have the competition of ideas and hash out our competiting 1A rights. Whoever convinces the most ppl wins. The gov't cant regulate that "public square" w/o violating one side or the other
