“I canceled it,” tweets @realDonaldTrump about planned November military parade, blaming DC “local politicians” for raising the cost.
The parade would have marked the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI.
US Defense Secretary Mattis is suggesting whoever claimed the parade would cost upwards of $90 million was “probably smoking something.”
No known "big parade" set for @@Andrews_JBA, perhaps @POTUS is thinking of the air show but the next one is not scheduled until May, 2019.

So, it's being reported that Donald Trump has cancelled his planned trip to Ireland on November 12th, a trip that was creating a lot of headaches on both sides of the Atlantic.
Interesting to me that this is the second major contentious event for November that has been canceled, with the first being Trump's military parade.
Just going to point out that if the GOP loses one or both houses on November 6th, they'll retain all their seats through the end of the 2018 legislative session. This is typically called the "lame duck" session because the normal expectation is a defeated government won't do much
