New: Jeremy Corbyn attended a conference in Doha in 2012 with a convicted Hamas terrorist/former military leader who was jailed in 2004 for his role in a string of terror attacks. Some 100 people were killed. Thread to follow: telegraph.co.uk/politics/2018/…
Husam Badran is a former military leader of Hamas’s military wing in the West Bank. He was captured by the IDF in 2002 and was sentenced to 17 years imprisonment. He was released in 2011 as part of a prisoner swap for an Israeli soldier. Here is at the Doha conference.
This is an extract of what Badran said at the conference, translated for my by an arabic speaker: The platinise nakba (day of catastrophes) which made us refugees took place via force and the return will be only viable through military and armed resistance and nothing else."
Husam Badran, continued: “The purpose of these symposium is that we inspire the segment that we wish to persuade of the legitimacy of the armed resistance from among the children of the people in the refugees camps.”
Another released in that swap was Abdul Aziz Umar, who was given seven life sentences for aiding and preparing a suicide belt which would be used in an attack in Jerusalem, killing seven. You may remember that Corbyn referred to Umar as one of the “brothers” released.
He attended the conference also, and spoke several minutes after Corbyn at one of the seminars given there. Some months later, Corbyn acknowledged on Press TV that he met him at the conference. This is him pictured af the same seminar.
The third Hamas official present at the conference was Khalid Mishaal, (aka Khaled Meshal). He is Hamas’s former political leader. He is on a UK sanctions list under the regime: Terrorism and terrorist financing.
All 3 spoke at the Doha conference in 2012, where Corbyn hosted one panel and contributed to at least one other. Shortly after the conference, Corbyn told Press TV that he met Umar, and “other brothers” at the event. Labour say other ex-prisoners were there, but did not say who
In his panel discussion, Mr Corbyn praised the decision to overturn a deportation order for Raed Salah as a “huge victory”. Some will be familiar with Salah. He was detained for entering UK despite a travel ban. He has also been found in a UK court to have used the blood libel.
This is some of what Corbyn said of Salah. Some of the footage is inaudible: 'We were told his presence was, quote “not conducive to public order. Huge credit to him and his supporters...a week ago, the judge at the immigration court...made a decision against the Home Sec'.
Mr Corbyn continued on Salah having the deportation order quashed: "It was a huge victory for his right to be visiting Britain...to speak publicly."
Hani Jabr also attended and spoke at the conference. He said this (in arabic): "I am not persuaded by negotiations for the refugees, it is will be only sorted by the resistance and wiping out the Zionist entity."

I believe Jabr was also part of Israel prisoner exchange in 2011.
