Because the policies the US pursues give consumers little incentive to buy innovative cars. C’est la vie. As we say in European English.

Any infrastructure expert out there who can tell us what was learned from the artificial traffic jam?
@RHARodMcKenzie - you wrote that the test was too little too late, could you say what can be learned from the one coducted? I am not an infrastructure expert, but I like to believe at least something must be learned if 50,000 pounds are invested in the exercise?

This has impressively strange statements from all three speakers. So some simple facts (thread)
1) No unilateral extension of Art. 50. Extension requires all Member States and the UK to agree. That’s Art. 50(3) of the TEU
2) The other two speakers speculated about what it would take for other member states to agree. Yes, a game changer. But that’s certainly not a new government with a new negotiation plan from scratch. “We don’t like it, let’s start over” is not a likely option.

1. Refreshing to see President #Trump taking a wrecking ball to the global order. It's long past the time - and the EU should pay for its vanity and hypocrisy. It wants all the status but none of the responsibility.
2. Our narcissistic leaders sign up to ever more virtue signalling treaties and green conventions with zero idea of how to implement them or what it will cost us - failing to listen to the experts and now Europe is buying gas from Russia to keep the lights on.
3. Quite rightly Trump doesn't see why US taxpayers should underwrite this folly as Germany fails to meet its NATO spending obligations and has a clapped out air force full of ancient unserviceable Tornados - all the while the EU provokes many of the security crises we face.
