1/ Prompted by @tonysheng’s great piece (tonysheng.com/mass-movement), I’ve been thinking a lot about mass movements today
2/ I hadn't really thought of it in these terms before, but #DeFi is a mass movement. It's a community for enthusiasts of Decentralized Finance. And we have all come together because we believe in a much better future
3/ We're at the early stages of this movement. But we're seeing the emergence of "men of words", who are sowing the intellectual seeds that will bring adherents to the movement
4/ There are already many “men of action”, but we don't really have any true "fanatical leaders" yet.

5/ "The Devil" is clear -- closed, ossified, centralized, exclusionary, opaque traditional finance. While Wall St is part of that, we actually have a pretty well functioning financial system in the US.
