Many senators face or faced various issues. Some of these issues reached the courts. Duterte can also do to them what he is doing to @TrillanesSonny and what he has done to @SenLeiladeLima.
Thru a mendacious abuse of power, Duterte can bear down the power of the presidency on any senator, even though the facts don’t back him up or he has to invent facts.

There are senators whose careers could easily be destroyed by Duterte if they don’t stop him now. Heck, Duterte may and can destroy the Senate and it’s standing as an independent body that’s a co-equal branch of the Executive. It cannot be a presidential doormat. House na yun eh.
And look at the courts. They already *dismissed* the case in 2011. But in 2018, they gave due course to an application for an arrest warrant.
