"I work for the president but... colleagues and I have vowed to thwart parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations" says someone who let him wrench thousands of children from their parents with no plan to reunite them, leaving all traumatized & hundreds likely orphaned.
I finally got a chance to read this, and all I feel is sick.
And ANGRY. The op-ed mentions the 25th amendment, but then instead of helping pursue that (though the writer seems to think it'd be justifiable), they decided to try to take the unhinged, dangerous incompetent from a 10 to a 9.8 so they can get their deregulation? EFFFFFFFF THAT
This "resistance" sure looks a lot like only-very-slightly watered-down complicity.
Adults stole children from their parents. Adults funnel taxpayer $ into their own pockets, endanger the sick and the environment, gaslight us all about what the administration is doing. These rooms are full of adults. Selfish, opportunistic, underhanded, complicit adults.
I don't really care who wrote the op-ed. Because before I read it, it seemed *no one* in the administration really has the country's best interests at heart, and after I read it, the same seems true. The rest is just details.
Big takeaway from the anonymous op-ed: each new terrible thing that happens under/by this administration? The supposed "resisters" in the White House chose NOT to thwart it.
