The professional athlete is a sheltered human
What he is sheltered from is The Truth
When the Truth is that the environment that they are subject to, and the coaching that they receive is unintelligent
And this is because they have been made to Follow Prescriptions for the whole of their careers
They have essentially been imprisoned by a cult and a conspiracy created by the business of sport and the teaching of sport
It breathes recycled air
And the professional athlete suffers in its artificially created atmosphere
Is to find Freedom
Before he attempts to find freedom on the course, the pitch, the field, or the rink
He must find freedom from the rules, the dogmas, the prescriptions, and the very culture that imprisons him
Have been the ones who have walked alone
They did not want their talents poisoned by the meddling hands of technicians
This allowed them never to lose themselves
The world does not come to see the details of his technique
It comes to stand witness to the instinctual talent that allows him to play with wild abandon
And if he seeks to discover who he truly is
He must first escape this culture
For it is then that he will discover his true art
And the Artist that lives within him
Namaste.
