1) Thread - direct question for the Corbyn "long gamers"
Just when you think the Corbyn #Brexit long game illusion has finally subsided, commentators like @AaronBastani @AbiWilks & @billybragg fire it up again

So this is a direct question - how does this Corbyn tweet help?

2) Yesterday the EU simply reiterated what they had always said, the Chequers plan was unworkable, a cherry pick deal and undermined the 4 freedoms.
Anyone paying attention knew that for months
Numerous commentators said the Tory party was fighting over a non #Brexit deal

3) The Labour party have been almost silent however on this deep humiliation for May, even refusing to appear on C4 news when the government & #Brexit are on the ropes.
The "never interrupt your enemy" line has been thrown out to excuse this silence

4) But Corbyn *did* interrupt
He attacks May, fair enough
But then says she is incapable of getting a good deal, implying a good #Brexit deal is available
And he puts the EU in the same bucket as the Government, accusing them of "playing games"

5) Now, anyone paying attention knows there is no *good deal*, we give up the economy, or we give up control, there's no deal where we can have both. So pretending a "good deal" is possible is just lying to people.

6) and accusing the EU of "playing games" when they have been 100% consistent is just playing into the ERG/Kipper/Express mentality of "Those bullying Europeans" - it's ridiculous to equate the EU approach with the shambles from May's government & the ERG

7) So, "Long gamers" - honestly, I'm all ears. How does this fit into the long game strategy? How does this reinforcement of the ERG "Brexit would be OK if done properly & if the EU came to the table" message help soften/stop #Brexit?

Maybe it's time to accept he's a brexiter?
