long before sex assault accusations surfaced, Kavanaugh was manifestly unfit for SCOTUS: what other nominee made his name as a sleazy partisan operative, hid most of his record, lied repeatedly under oath to Congress & came saddled with such a mess of dodgy unexplained finances?
except for Thomas, has any Justice in living memory been confirmed with anything even close to such a blatantly compromised profile? many have faced fierce ideological opposition, but none has so reeked of personal & public corruption & represented such a dishonor to the court
the sex assault accusations have exposed Kavanaugh, at the very least, as having been an underage waste-case—& well into adulthood a crude imposing lush who boastfully relished booze as an occasion & excuse for offensively bad judgment & conduct in his clubbily corrupt cliques
& he has made no show of regret, much less reform, only denial, as the Trump-McConell GOP rushes hellbent, in defiance of public opinion, to install him for life in judgment over the fates of our people & institutions—the legitimacy of the Supreme Court & the Republic be damned.
