Someone tell me why Nagini was chosen to be a cursed Korean woman when Nagini sounds like Naagin, the snake people from Indian mythology, and why nobody thought to consider the Indian War for Independence taking place at that time, where I can see curses flying and going wrong.
Like if it /has/ to be a cursed woman, why not have a woman whose family ancestry includes Naagin? Maybe it goes generations back; maybe she disrespects them by going against her family. Maybe she tries to fight back against the British and gets cursed as a result.
Why couldn't she have been a sly woman quick with words, subtle, like her naagin ancestors, catching the attention of the wrong British wizards, getting cursed to remain in a snake form after she got caught?
If we're gonna go the cursed snake woman route, and we're gonna keep calling her Nagini, there's so much more that they could have done, that would have made so much more sense, that would have given it so much more context, that would have given them a REASON to interact. SMH.
