So a design flaw in the Conservative party’s conference app means users have access to the mobile numbers of Cabinet ministers, MPs and prominent journalists. This is really, really bad.
Labour response: “How can we trust this Tory Government with our country's security when they can't even build a conference app that keeps the data of their members, MPs and others attending safe and secure?” 
Given the security issues surrounding May's conference speech last year — which partly led to Patrick McLoughlin being sacked as chairman — it's mindblowing to think this has been allowed to happen. And still no comment from CHHQ. What is going on?
Momentum: "This sums up the Tories, staggeringly incompetent and out of touch with the modern world. They can’t even build a basic conference app without a huge data breach, and it’s terrifying that they’re in charge of the tech that runs our hospitals, schools and airports."
The Conservative party chairman responds
Conservative party spokesperson: "The technical issue has been resolved and the app is now functioning securely. We are investigating the issue further and apologise for any concern caused."
