Those who read my Sango story yesterday shouldn’t be surprised. I tried to tell you ahead what will happen and a few got it early while others will connect the dots now. It’ll only get worse. APC is not a credible party. They rigged all their electoral wins but things will change
Condemning Ambode’s sissy approach doesn’t make what the party leaders are doing to him right. This is who they are, who they have been and who they will forever be. They feed on their own and destroy those they raise eventually. The pattern is glaring.
Thinking your case will be different is naive. And those applauding his unnecessary tantrums ought to have talked him out of it. A press statement would have sufficed highlighting his lack of confidence in the process intelligently in readiness to shun the primaries.
We know the party can’t produce membership cards within 24hrs. There were none when the primaries that brought Ambode to power was executed and there won’t be need for it now. The anointed would win with overwhelming cooked up votes endorsed by hailing griots activated by alerts.
Just saying it as it is for those who are politically literate and untethered from identity politics of hate (populism). These are nit statement for or against either party. The move is not strategic and it doesn’t help his case having isolated and ostracized himself from all.
Emoting on NationalTV as a sitting Governor is not a value proposition neither a position of strength. The series of event that will follow will be ridiculing beginning from the primaries. A law suit on defamation can’t be ruled out cum suspension from APC for anti party antics.
He probably doesn’t know how alone he is now until reality hits. The people he is dealing with don’t have a soul. These are folks that call black white under a flood light glaring to all. Besides internal party arrangement doesn’t give room for slander. This won’t be ignored.
The good news here though is that it presents a golden opportunity for a credible candidate to shore from a coalition. Yes, it will take more than a single party to undo the Lagos conundrum. There is time for collaboration and coalition to unshackle Lagos.
I doubt if PDP is ready for Lagos. The road to that will be blocked by internal party factions by perpetual oppressive forces seeking selfish control. All eyes should be on APD, Kowa, ANN, YDP etc. if they ever understand what is at stake strategically and the next move.
