Former for-profit college exec. and top DeVos Dept. of Ed. official Diane Jones, just gave new life to deadbeat #4profit accreditor, ACICS – allowing an additional year to come into compliance. It’s a betrayal of students and taxpayers.
ACICS – infamous for accrediting #4profit Corinthian, ITT Tech, Westwood – was complicit in the exploitation of tens of thousands of students and the loss of millions in taxpayer dollars.
In April, I joined @SenBlumenthal and colleagues in raising concerns about Jones’ conflicts of interest in the ACICS case from her time working with them in the #4profit industry. Given her background, her decision on deadbeat ACICS is highly suspect, though not surprising.
