Peter Baker’s colleagues published an exhaustive 14,000 word investigation this week accusing the president of the United States and his siblings of fraud and tax evasion, and Baker didn’t include a single word about it in his “Trump won the week” piece. nytimes.com/2018/10/05/us/…
Not saying Baker had to come to a different conclusion. But there’s no “to be sure, the revelation of tax crimes may portend future problems” or “Trump’s WH cannily side-stepped our accusations of tax fraud.” There’s nothing on it.
There’s also nothing on Trump mocking and mischaracterizing a sexual assault survivor’s story at a Mississippi rally, a wild gamble that outraged much of the country and, per WaPo, mortified his own advisers but is credited with galvanizing conservative support for Kavanaugh.
