Our country has become a place where people are randomly attacked by angry, hateful people for no reason what so ever. It happening all over the place. These people come out of the wood works. Yet nothing is being done about it. Its getting worse by the day. Crickets!
Problems do not go away by ignoring them. They have to be addressed. They have to be met head on. It will continue to get worse, it the crickets keep running the show. Freedom of speech is not about attacking others, or assaulting someone. Its not intimidating, or forceful.
Freedom of speech does not involve tearing someone down, while lifting yourself up. I personally don't thin i am better then anyone. Not one of us is above another. We all put our shoes on the same way. We all eat the same way. Being popular does not make you better then others.
When i grew up, i was very popular in school, but i chose to hang out with the down trodden. I saw they needed to have friends too. When you don't see yourself above others, you will find its easier to pretty much hang out with just about anyone.They can tell you don't judge them
Want to see true unity and healing in this country? Start seeing yourself as the same as everyone else. Of course some people are just too angry to be with, but for the most part, we are all the same. We don't have to agree on everything. We just need to learn to get along.
When i am with certain people i know that don't agree with me on a political level, i don't talk to them about politics. What i do is find common ground with them. It lets them know we can get along without the politics involved. Be as harmless as doves, but wise as a serpent.
