Anyways, lets get into the details. Under Trump and DeVos the only way a Title IX investigation happens is if someone files a formal report.

No report, and no report to the right person, the assault didn't happen as far as Title IX under Trump is concerned

In the Kavanaugh confirmation we heard Trump and other Republicans say effectively if the victims didn't report the assault didn't happen.

This is message reinforcement.

MRA's and other Republicans challenge Title IX protections as not offering due process protections to those accused of campus sex assault.

Title IX investigations and hearings are administrative proceedings, not criminal trials. Due process does not mean what conservatives want you to think it means here.

If a person who has been assaulted reports and if there is an investigation, under Trump's rules the accused or their attorney will cross-examine the complainant [despite the fact this is not a court of law]

This is of course sold by conservatives as a fair process grounded in due process and a presumption of innocence but it's designed to discourage reporting because again, there are no constitutional rights on the line

This is a long-winded way of saying the obvious which is Kavanaugh is but one example of a coordinated response to the gains of the sexual revolution and yeah ugh.
