"Custody not private key" is a new "blockchain not bitcoin."
Custody solutions repackage bitcoin in a palatable way for big institutions and investors. It implies the asset itself is not worthy.
I understand why they need custody, but in reality, mandatory reliance on custody solutions exposes their regulatory prison and the inadequacy of their model.

The individuals in these institutions can and will invest some personal money in bitcoin and use a hardware wallet.
The same old cronies are coming for your bitcoin. #hodl

A real "dApp" is a very rare thing. So rare they can easily have their own names, like Bitcoin and Lightning Network.
As a idea, apps that label themselves dapps, is pretty funny.
Mainly, they call themselves dapps to excuse their lack of users and to confuse their investors. There are no dapps on ethereum, except maybe the erc20 contract itself I guess.

How many holders of last resort do they have?
Altcoins have built their networks on marketing and false narratives. Reinflating an altcoin bubble is without deliverables is going to be impossible.
Bitcoin delivers its value prop everyday. It delivers more valuable innovation all the time. It's network effects will continue expanding, while altcoins' will shrink to nothing.

The term "cryptoassets" (conveniently the title of Chris's book) is hugely detrimental to investors' understanding of digital scarcity and sustainable comp advs in this tech.

The term scam, however, is *under used*. Ripple is the #2 coin by market cap for God's sake.

The entire altcoin complex would benefit if people were less forgiving of the 99% that are outright scams.

Of course, the line we are told to toe (by scammers) is to ignore the scams, be nicer, let the scams run their courses naturally. Lol
It feels very similar to the coinbase "education" initiative, that just fills your head with buzzwords like blockchain and cryptoassets, then they try to sell you their scams coins, that have no competitive ad except for pumpers and shills.

Bittrex is the most legit exchange, period. No bullshit fees to get listed, no fake volume or manipulation, the future of Blockchain tokens will be tokenized securities on approved exchanges with ring fenced custody. These other exchanges are in trouble long term.
The fact that OKEX charges token teams massive listing fees then forces them to fake liquidity is 😂.

Exchanges need to stop robbing token teams & start building platforms to enable innovation & access.

They need real tokens like $UKG more then we need them.

2/ So, I'm not sure if the community remembers and/or has ever heard of this, but there was an instance in 2013 where a number of private keys were able to 'cracked' on the $BTC protocol due to a Android wallet app

Some large companies are getting into #Blockchain e.g. IBM, Maersk, etc. That does not mean that these companies nor institutional investors will invest in present day public blockchains nor their associated tokens. Don't take me for my word, read McKinsey's view on Blockchain.
The day a #bitcoin ETF gets approved, $BTC should spike hard, and all alts follow suit. Yet we call institutional money "smart money" for a reason. Institutional investors will likely differentiate the good from the bad. After the initial pump, cyrpto correlations should plummet.
Corollary: the inception of a bitcoin ETF should provide great money making opportunities in Alts/BTC pairs.

1/ WHY YOU SHOULDN'T BE AFRAID OF A BEAR MARKET FOR #BITCOIN : Looking at the big picture for $BTCUSD in a log chart, it seems that this correction for $BTC is completely normal. We may even go as low as $3k, but if you zoom out, this will allow us to bounce off that trendline
2/ and thus draw our next impulse wave (3) which can push price as high as $100k. Media will talk about it way more than in 2017 and we will have a general adoption by the public (thanks to #LightningNetwork ?). Another big correction will occur (wave 4) and we will buy -
3/ again - in the 78.6%/88.6% fibonacci retracement while mass media will tell us that #Bitcoin is dead (again ?). And we will probably have our "final" 5th wave which could drive us above 1 million $ per $BTC.
