As you can see from the email exchange below, a representative for the school responded to the Washington Post reporter, Emily Heil, 8 minutes after she first contacted the school. He clearly told her the position was posted in July.

The response undermined the whole story that the Washington Post was creating, but they published it anyways. It wasn't until the Georgetown Prep representative called them out that night that they put the correction we now see on the story.
