This is not a caravan, of course there will be emotional stories from a few migrants leaving horrible violence but most say they want to work in the US and send money back to their country. What they’re doing is best described as an economic invasion and it cannot be allowed.
Emotional manipulation is employed using a few migrant stories that’re truly horrible to make it seem the whole group is in the same position. In reality it’s a mix of good people with valid asylum claims, criminals, gang members & economic invaders. There’s very little vetting.
As the son of a Cuban legal immigrant mother I’m sympathetic to valid asylum claims but:

Lastly illegal immigration drains important public resources that we pay for and in some cases they slow response to save Americans by overwhelming the local healthcare infrastructure. All of the costs are passed back to American citizens and can slow response when you need it.
However we are the luckiest country on earth and I think some compassion goes a long way, our asylum system for true verifiable victims should be honored with preference to bordering countries. Beyond that we need to take a firm stand on why + how borders are key to sovereignty.
I’m Hispanic, I don’t hate illegal immigrants. I lock my doors at night because I love the people inside not because I hate the people outside. Our country is every American’s home, we should love them enough to lock the door. Anyone can knock for help but they can’t force entry.
Every country and government has a duty above all else to protect and care for their citizens. As Americans we should be focusing on helping and lifting up families like this instead of illegal immigrants. Our homeless, hungry, parentless and Americans in poverty come first. 
It’s a disservice to legal immigrants who spend thousands, wait, study and plan to assimilate for us to allow illegal immigration. We cannot allow the #CaravanaDelMigrante to succeed or else we send the message we’ll allow mass invasion migration from anywhere for any reason.
