What bothers me most about Obama is not his economic or his foreign policies, but the way he sliced and diced us into different identity groups, genders, races, etc.- literally building a campaign machine, the first of its kind,
devoted to predicting how millions of people would vote based on these characteristics and micro-tailoring a message to them no matter how divisive it was. He fully leveraged our social media rage machine and big data
to slice and dice us, selling voters the idea that you will benefit from X policy because you have Y racial, sex, sexual orientation, etc. characteristics, not because they are an inherently
good idea for anyone/society as a whole. We now have the same big data and tech firms who overwhelmingly supported Obama knowingly pushing our buttons and pandering to what we are instead of trying to discern the
merits of our ideas and values, and it's only going to get worst on both sides as both sides grow increasingly sophisticated in keeping the hardcore base of their side in perpetual agitation.
The rest of the stuff - IRS targeting, lying about the Iran deal, deceiving about the healthcare law, blaming a terrorist attack on a movie- is just small potatoes.
