Getting something off my chest.
Attended the murder scene in Foxrock this morning. A west African man was mutilated and killed.
But what shocked me most was the overt racism from neighbours. The spoke of the man as if he were subhuman. I spoke with five or so locals
They said he was "an animal" and that he spat on the ground and that's "something you don't do in my country". He was "as black as my shirt" (was wearing an Adidas tee) - talked about him eating bananas.
Proper vile.
These people were all in their 50s-70s
One woman actually defended herself by saying "I can't be racist because I've been to London" - she said that.

But the biggest thing was there was an "us versus them" attitude - neighbours said "they can't be trusted" as in black people.
I was stunned that people were saying this and giving you that nod as in they expect you to agree.
As one other hack put it - the place was full with "well heeled fascists"
