I want to talk about this "Did Beto Blow It?" story that's been published by Politico and amplified by establishment media even though the election isn't over and votes haven't been counted yet.
Here's the story: politico.com/magazine/story…

It's almost entirely based on REPUBLICANS in Texas talking about how they think Beto will lose because he didn't do enough to win over Republican voters.
Republicans ALWAYS say Dems should try to win over GOP voters instead of trying to turn out the liberal base but for some reason the media treats that as an objective analysis instead of partisan spin.

Beto's whole strategy is to motivate Dems, not win over Republicans.
But two days before the election, here's a story in the mainstream political media that says Beto ALREADY blew it because he didn't try hard enough to win over Republicans.

Even though we know Republicans will NEVER vote for Democrats no matter what.
You'll never see anyone in the media talking about how Trump should be trying to win over Democrats instead of using lies and fear-mongering about immigration to "motivate" Republicans.
According to the mainstream media, if Republicans focus on their base, it's "smart politics." If Beto does it, it's a mistake.

Again, THE VOTES HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN COUNTED YET.
Here a New York Times reporter tweets the story with his own headline: "HOW BETO BLEW IT"

At the risk of repeating myself, the election is tomorrow. The votes haven't been counted.
Where are the stories about "How Trump Blew It" even though the election isn't over yet? If they can publish stories like that about Democrats, how come the political media never does the same about Republicans?
This is how the media helps tilt the political playing field towards Republicans. They repeat the Republican view of Democratic campaigns as if Republicans are capable of unbiased analysis in elections they desperately want to win.
Beto hasn't blown anything. He ran a campaign that went against conventional wisdom and establishment media narratives and he has a chance to win as a Democreat in Texas.

That should be today's headline, not "Beto Blew It."
Every time you hear the media saying that Democrats need to do more to win over Republicans, remember that they will NEVER say the reverse. That tells you everything you need to know about which side they're on.
And if Ted Cruz loses tomorrow, Politico won't be publishing any "How Cruz Blew It" stories.

Instead, they'll go back to the same Republicans who told them Beto ran the wrong campaign for "analysis" about how "Texas is still a Red State" and "we're still a center-right country."
Look at this. Politico says "Ted Cruz WAS Beatable" if only Democrats had taken campaign advice from Republicans who want them to lose. It's incredible.

Again, the election is not over until tomorrow night.
