@ScottforFlorida has been governor for two terms/8 years. During this time he has underfunded election security and election processes, did not replace Ms. Snipes who he now berates. Why? So he could underfund the election machinery in that county and then blame her for problems?
For @ScottforFlorida to complain now when he is responsible for underfunding election staff, machines, etc is laughable at best, but really a tragedy of democracy. The idea that the second largest county in Florida, underfunded for this purpose, should now pull out miracles,
and the people doing counting be subject to harassment and the rightwing conspiracy machine is also a tragedy of democracy. There are reports of legit ballots being thrown out. there are reports of untold numbers of ballots sitting in a postal center. This is a complex process.
But what I hear from the rightwing and the rightwing adjacent commenters now is that we should not count every vote (how democratic! Notice that McSally is behind but they are not saying stop counting in Arizona!) or that we should do it fast instead of right.
No. We should #CountEveryBallot #CountEveryVote and take as long as need be to do it. This is why election certification comes later in the process. What is more important to democracy than taking the time to ensure everyone has a voice? Or are U not interested in democracy?
